As the Metafour team has been getting used to the new ‘normal’ over the past few months, we have been hard at work to make our software offer all of the features and functionality needed to ensure our customers remain ahead of their competitors. But it’s not just software updates they have been working on. Our Information Security team has been working on our ISO27001 re-certification, and we are pleased to announce that it has been renewed for another year. With companies as diverse as Twitter and EasyJet suffering data breaches over the past few months, good information security and risk management is more important than ever, and our certification proves our commitment to keeping your data secure.


What’s new in v8.15?

Data Retention Module

In order to help you comply with your GDPR and security policies, you can now set your job data to be archived or purged based on the number of days since either creation or booking. Archived jobs can still be viewed and restored to your system, but purged jobs will be permanently deleted. This includes all data including prices and any associated documentation. It will not affect your invoicing.

API For Creating And Updating Clients

New services available in our API will enable our customers’ website to have the capability to allow their clients to create and manage their own accounts. This is the first step in opening up our customer’s websites as booking portals, and additional functionality will be added over the coming weeks and months.

Quick Job View

Additional fields have been added to the ‘My bookings’ screen to give you a full overview of each job, at a glance. Not only can you view all of the collection and delivery details, but you can also see the carrier selected, the number of items sent, and their volumes.

Proxy Users

For additional security, it is now possible to mimic how your clients view your system from your own account. It helps your customer service team to support your users remotely, and removes the need to log-on using their credentials.

Expanded Tuffnells Coverage

Our Tuffnells integration now supports deliveries to Ireland and other international destinations. This allows you to deliver your large, long, heavy parcels of all sizes both in the UK and abroad.

Multi-Drop Mapping

Our multi-drop screen now offers you the ability to view all of your jobs on one map. It helps your controllers visualise and optimise these jobs, to ensure ultimate delivery efficiency.

Extended DHL Terms Of Sale

Additional terms of sale can now be accessed for all DHL deliveries. There are now 6 new options available to choose from:

CFR (Cost and Freight), CIF (Cost Insurance and Freight), CPT (Carriage Paid To), DAF (Delivered at Frontier), DAP (Delivered at Place), and DAT (Delivered at Terminal).

What’s coming next?

The next six months see numerous exciting developments planned. They include an updated back-office, the merging of our courier and mailroom software systems, plus new pricing features.
