NetMailroom automates the flow of incoming items to their final destinations, simply recording information about each item as it comes in the door. This allows you to prioritise deliveries, reduce delivery time and satisfy internal customers.

With the latest scanning technology NetMailroom has been designed to improve the efficiency and productivity of your parcel shipment handling process. It will assist with the task of tracking and analysing the movement of confidential and valuable traffic through your organisation. With NetMailroom you can automatically notify the recipient as soon as a package is received, and employees can view the status of a package straight from their desk.

NetMailroom – Here’s how it works:
NetMailroom receive packages from outside sources (couriers, messenger). If required, they will sign for it and contact the recipient and ask how they want the item to be delivered. An item can be:
  • Hand delivered immediately by a messenger.
  • Wait in the post room for the recipient to pick up.
  • Hand delivered in a general post run. This occurs when a messenger delivers many jobs at once.
  • Stored away and await collection by the recipient

  • Receive and Record Deliveries
    Details of the mail, packages and other items are entered into NetMailroom via the keyboard and speedy pick lists. This confirms that the item has been received from the carrier. At this point a pre-alert email is sent to the parcel recipient advising them of their package arrival, and stating that it will be delivered on the next scheduled run unless urgent.
    Create Delivery Manifest
    NetMailroom will create an internal delivery manifest that can be sorted by messenger run, department or mail stop. The shipment information will be transferred to a hand held device, which the internal delivering messenger will take with him on the delivery round
    Deliver and Record Items
    Using the electronic delivery manifest, the packages are delivered. NetMailroom handheld will facilitate signature upon receipt, checking off items individually as they are delivered or bulk delivered.
    Route Tracking
    With strategically fixed bar codes around the buildings, the messenger will scan them as he passes. The system will record the time he scanned the bar code adding to the security of the delivery.
    Database Management
    A daily file can be arranged to feed the consignors database on the web-based NetMailroom. The consignor or the consignee will have the ability to update the consignee’s database
    Reporting
    Reports and shipment tracking will be available to management for inbound deliveries. Various reports are possible from the system
  • PoD report, available by date range, displaying all PoD’s for a period.
  • Outstanding PoD reports on non-delivered shipments.
