Shorex Travel's Story
Having had a false start with another company in trying to introduce the systems they needed for their innovative new travel business, Tom & Doug of Shorex Travel came to Metafour for its Empower suite of travel solutions.
Within four months, Shorex went live with a beautifully designed bookable website that allows them to capture bookings online, and gives them an outstanding platform to showcase their innovative service. The website communicates automatically in real time with third party suppliers for hotels, car hire and theatre tickets; providing live prices and availability, and placing bookings with those suppliers. At the same time, price and availability feeds are integrated with their own contracted product for a seamless offer to customers.
Once bookings are made, they are stored in Empower Office, our back office travel reservations software. This allows them to produce all the necessary documents for each booking, manage supplier requests, get management, marketing and financial reports, and maintain their database of contracted products.
