Pick and Pack
Impulse Worldwide Ltd offer a Fulfilment, or Pick and Pack, service to their clients. The following explains how they make use of our NetCourier package to manage their operations. Impulse Worldwide's requirements, although similar in many ways to other courier businesses, require a modified version of the NetCourier package. Central to their operations is the ability to manage their fulfilment service; and store and manage client goods internally and distribute any combination of goods on-demand.
Metafour deployed the following to meet these requirements:

NetLogistics: Tailor made module that is used to manage Impulses fulfilment (pick and pack) service. On request, goods are collected, arranged and delivered using a single stock control system. All stock can be monitored by clients using the online management service.

Client-Online: Web-based client-facing interface through which customers can enter all necessary job information. This has reduced a portion of Impulse’s labour costs and increased data input accuracy.

Account management: Automatic email invoicing to clients; job retrieval; store previous job information (i.e. addresses, routes, services); tariff management; varying report functionality; export and import data options – identifing potential savings and profitability opportunities; data can be exported for use with SAGE and Microsoft Excel for example.

Operations management: Suppling manifests to agents with necessary information about consignments; internal information sharing via a note system improving inter-departmental linkage.

Driver job allocation – Impulse employs 12 drivers in total. Using handheld devices, jobs are allocated based upon availability and location. If a driver is unable to accept a job it is returned to NetCourier for re-allocation.

Customer services: Track & Trace consignments from start to finish with a unique identification number; POD capture using mCourier (mobile handheld system); provide customers with detailed reports about their stock.

NetCourier was delivered with full training. Impulse receive on-demand support and regular software updates from Metafour. Any queries or requests can be logged using the online Helpdesk – our development and support team systematically address any issues entered into the helpdesk.
